ABOUT
Seowon Hyun is Korean composer for film and TV who started her career in South Korea and is now based in Los Angeles. She started her career with Bang Jun-seok, one of the most renowned film music director in South Korea, as a main house composer and wrote music for 11 feature films there including many of the top gross films in Korea such as <Along with the Gods 신과 함께(2017)>, <Ashfall 백두산 (2019)>, <Escape from Mogadishu 모가디슈(2020)> just to name a few. <The Book of Fish 자산어보(2021) > where she worked as a composer was awarded for Best Original Score in Blue Dragon Awards(2021) in South Korea.

Seowon got a master degree in USC Screen Scoring Program (2021) where she was awarded The Sandra and Alan Silvestri Scholarship which is awarded to the best applicant for the program every year. She is now working in LA as a composer and orchestrator and expanding her musical voice of her own culture and background. Her recent documentary feature was premiered in Tribeca Film Festival(2023) and her most recent orchestrating work includes <FUBAR, Netflix(2023)>, <Reacher Season 2, Amazon (2023)>.
